Ready, Set, RESET: Starting Fresh for 2025
If the thought of creating a long list of resolutions feels overwhelming or just doesn’t feel right this year, you’re not alone. Sometimes, instead of chasing lofty goals, it’s better to focus on grounding ourselves, simplifying priorities, and setting intentions that feel manageable and aligned.
Here’s the reset checklist I’m using to kick off the new year:
1. Declutter Your Spaces
• Start with your closet, pantry, or workspace.
• Keep only what sparks joy or serves a purpose (hello, 2025 capsule wardrobe).
• Donate, sell, or responsibly discard items that no longer fit your life.
2. Refresh Your Calendar
• Map out key dates: birthdays, anniversaries, and personal milestones.
• Schedule time for self-care and creative pursuits now.
• Experiment with a planner or digital tool that makes organization fun and stylish.
3. Set 3 Simple Intentions - Instead of resolutions, set small, achievable intentions
• A daily habit (like journaling or walking).
• A skill or hobby you want to nurture.
• A boundary you need to reinforce.
4. Prioritize Your Well-Being
• Reset your skincare routine (new year, refreshed glow).
• Plan a fitness approach that excites you—think tennis sessions, yoga classes, or even at-home workouts.
• Evaluate your beauty routine and stock up on your favorites for a five-minute glow-up (you know I have my go-tos!).
5. Create Space for Inspiration
• Update your home decor to reflect your current vibe—candles, throws, or a cozy corner can do wonders.
• Build a mood board or vision board for the year ahead.
• Subscribe to something that keeps you inspired, whether it’s a newsletter (wink, wink) or a podcast.
6. Organize Your Digital World
• Unfollow accounts that don’t spark joy or align with your values.
• Back up photos and files, then clear digital clutter.
• Curate your inbox with folders and filters to keep things streamlined.
This isn’t about perfection; it’s about aligning your space, time, and energy with what feels right for you. Whether you tackle this checklist in a weekend or take the whole month to ease into the new year, let 2025 be your year of intentional living.
